Privacy Policy
Clariverse is built to be quiet and private: no ads, and we never sell your data — ever. This page explains exactly what we collect and why, in plain language.
What we collect
- An anonymous account ID. When you open the app we create a random identifier so your notes and highlights can be saved and synced. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any profile information.
- Your notes and highlights. The content you write privately in the app is stored on your device and synced to our database (hosted on Supabase) so you never lose it. It is tied only to your anonymous ID, is never shared, and is readable only by you under database row-level security.
- Public community content (optional). If you choose to share an interpretation or comment with the community, it is posted publicly under a display handle you pick — never your name or email — and is visible to other users. You can delete your own posts at any time. See “Community content” below.
- Purchase status. If you subscribe to Clariverse Plus or buy the lifetime unlock, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple or Google. We receive only an anonymous confirmation of your entitlement (via RevenueCat, our billing processor). We never see or store your payment details.
- Usage analytics. We record anonymous in-app events (for example, that an explainer card was opened) to understand which features help people and to improve the app. These events are tied to the anonymous ID, not to your identity.
What we do NOT collect
- No name, email, phone number, or contacts
- No location data
- No advertising identifiers — Clariverse contains no ads and no ad SDKs
- No data from other apps or browsing history
Community content
Clariverse includes an optional community layer where readers can share interpretations of a verse and comment on them. A few things to know:
- It’s opt-in and pseudonymous. Nothing you write is public unless you choose to share it. Public posts show only the handle you picked — never your name or email.
- It’s public. Shared interpretations and comments are visible to other users of the app, so don’t post anything you wouldn’t want seen publicly.
- It’s moderated. Before a post appears it is screened for harmful content by an automated safety service (OpenAI’s moderation tool, acting on our behalf). You can also report any post or comment, and block another user, from the app.
- You stay in control. You can delete your own posts and comments at any time, which removes them for everyone.
How your data is used
Only to run the app: syncing your notes, honoring your purchase, showing and moderating community posts, and improving features. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing. Our service providers (Supabase for data hosting, RevenueCat for billing status, OpenAI for moderating community posts, Apple/Google for payments) process data solely on our behalf.
Deleting your data
You can delete notes, highlights, and your community posts in the app at any time. To delete everything associated with your anonymous account, email us at [email protected] and we will remove it.
Children
Clariverse is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
